    Catherine Turberville
    Practice Owner/Veterinarian

    Dr. Catherine grew up helping her father, Dr. Ben George, every chance she could get. She never wanted to pursue any career other than to follow in her father's footsteps as a veterinarian. She graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and returned home to work with him here at both the Saraland Veterinary Clinic and our sister clinic, the Heart of Dixie Vet Clinic in Semmes. She is the proud mother of four beautiful children, three silly dogs, one pretty cool cat, and a few assorted chickens. She is very proud of the veterinary practice that her father built up and is working hard to continue the excellent compassionate care of family pets since our doors opened in 1984.

    Nicole Elstner
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Elstner grew up in Mobile, Al. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Spring Hill College in 2004, and then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University in 2010.  Dr. Elstner shares her home with her son, Nicolas, and her dog and two cats. Dr. Elstner is passionate about patient care and patient imaging technology including x-rays and ultrasound.

    Andi Long
    Associate Veterinarian

    You may recognize Dr. Andi from her days working at Saraland Veterinary Clinic as an assistant. After graduating from Satsuma High School, she received her undergraduate degree at William Carey University, and graduated from Tuskegee University in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Andi is compassionate about providing excellent care to all her patients. 

  • Tara .
    Practice Manager

    Tara is the Practice Manager of both Saraland Veterinary Clinic and our sister clinic, Heart of Dixie Veterinary Clinic. She lives with her husband, two bulldogs, and Mr Gobble the Majestic Cat. Tara's love for people and pets is one of the main reasons she loves being our Practice Manager. 

  • Kasey .
    Office Manager/Veterinary Assistant

    Having grown up on a farm, Kasey has worked with animals most of her life- ranging from cats and dogs to horses and donkeys! She started her first veterinary clinic position as a kennel technician in 2006 and worked her way up to veterinary assistant from there. When she is not working, she spends her time with her own herd of seven cats, 3 dogs, and 4 aquariums full of fish! And, when she is not taking care of animals either at work or at home, she is most likely relaxing with a good book or enjoying a board game night with friends.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Ady has been a veterinary assistant for 6 years and part of the Heart of Dixie family for 3 years. She and her husband share their home with their 4 dogs. In her free time she likes to go hiking with her husband, Tracy, and their dogs, When she is not doing that, she is riding horses or painting.

    Veterinary Assistant

    Jessica came to Heart of Dixie after working with a local pet shelter. You may see Jessica working at the Front Desk or in the back giving vaccines. She enjoys all positions at the clinic, and is willing to jump in where she is needed. Jessica and her husband, Mike share their home with their two teenage children, and two cats.

    Veterinary Assistant

    'The Crazy Husky Lady' lives with 4 huskies, 1 German Shepherd, 1 mixed breed, and 2 cats. Jordan has worked with animals for 10 years including emergency medicine and behavioral training. Jordan is truly a 'dog lover'.

    Kennel Technician

    Megan loves caring for the boarding pets! She takes a lot of pride in keeping the pets  happy and comfortable while they stay with us. At home Megan has 4 dogs, 3 cats, and a lop eared rabbit. She is passionate about all types of animals and even fosters pets for our local shelter. Megan is happy to work hard to care for all the fur babies boarding with Heart of Dixie.
