Staff

Meet the friendly staff at Heart of Dixie Vet Clinic!

  • Dr.
    Catherine Turberville
    Practice Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Catherine grew up helping her father, Dr. Ben George, every chance she could get. She never wanted to pursue any career other than to follow in her father's footsteps as a veterinarian. She graduated from the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004 and returned home to work with him here at both the Saraland Veterinary Clinic and our sister clinic, the Heart of Dixie Vet Clinic in Semmes. She is the proud mother of four beautiful children, three silly dogs, one pretty cool cat, and a few assorted chickens. She is very proud of the veterinary practice that her father built up and is working hard to continue the excellent compassionate care of family pets since our doors opened in 1984.

Tara is the Practice Manager of both Saraland Veterinary Clinic and our sister clinic, Heart of Dixie Veterinary Clinic. She lives with her husband, two bulldogs, and Mr Gobble the Majestic Cat. Tara's love for people and pets is one of the main reasons she loves being our Practice Manager.

  • Kasey .
    Office Manager/Veterinary Technician

Having grown up on a farm, Kasey has worked with animals most of her life- ranging from cats and dogs to horses and donkeys! She started her first veterinary clinic position as a kennel technician in 2006 and worked her way up to veterinary technician from there. When she is not working, she spends her time with her own herd of seven cats, 3 dogs, and 4 aquariums full of fish! And, when she is not taking care of animals either at work or at home, she is most likely relaxing with a good book or enjoying a board game night with friends.

  • Ady .
    Veterinary Technician

Ady has been a veterinary assistant for 6 years and part of the Heart of Dixie family for 3 years. She and her husband share their home with their 4 dogs. • Jessica .

Jessica came to Heart of Dixie after working with a local pet shelter. You may see Jessica working at the Front Desk or in the back giving vaccines.
